

A bizarre creature dubbed the "penis snake" was discovered in the Amazon river of Brazil by workers preparing for a dam to be constructed. As it happens the "snake" isn't a snake at all, but is rather a very rare member of the amphibian family. The discovery was made in November 2011, but only has recently been confirmed as a new species.
Many young people of Caribbean descent will take advantage in the coming months of President Obama’s immigration policy reprieve titled “Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Process”. In announcing the Department of Homeland Security’s policy directive on June 15 stating that undocumented migrant youths who meet certain conditions would no longer be deported, President Obama said that “It was the right thing to do.” What he did not say was whether he meant “the right thing” legally or morally.
Speaking from the Rose Garden on Friday June 15, 2101, President Obama addressed a new policy from the Department of Homeland Security aimed at making the nation’s immigration policy more fair and more efficient by removing the threat of deportation for young people who are low enforcement priorities.

A PROCLAMATION
The US has offered help to Pakistan in searching 135 soldiers and civilians buried under snow following an avalanche in the country's Siachen region.
The avalanche hit an army camp near Skardu district at 6am on Saturday. Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has visited the site to personally supervise the rescue work.
